Welcome to Vertex. We are a passionate, independent team of developers building various applications and games. It's important for you to know that we are not a formal, registered company. We operate with a commitment to transparency and user privacy. This general Privacy Policy explains how we handle information across the entire Vertex ecosystem.
This policy covers the unified Vertex Account system. Please be aware that each of our products (like Cortex) has its own specific Privacy Policy that details data handling unique to that service. This document provides the general framework.
To use our services, you create a single "Vertex Account". This account allows you to access all our current and future projects with one set of credentials. For this purpose, we collect the following information:
Beyond basic account data, each Vertex product collects information necessary for its function. For example, our app Cortex processes conversation data.
This type of product-specific data is governed by the privacy policy of that product. We maintain strict data separation. Information collected in one product (e.g., your chats in Cortex) is never used to personalize your experience or serve ads in another Vertex product.
We use the information we collect for the following general purposes:
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Ever.
You are in full control of your data.
The Vertex ecosystem is built upon robust and secure third-party platforms like Google Firebase for hosting and authentication, and Cloudflare for network security. We rely on their industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
However, no system is 100% immune to breaches. By using our services, you acknowledge that we are a small, independent team and we depend on these partners. In the event of a data breach on these third-party platforms, the developers of Vertex cannot assume liability.
While the content of some of our games and applications (e.g., those rated PEGI 3) may be suitable for all ages, our online services, including the creation of a unified Vertex Account, are strictly intended for individuals who are 13 years of age or older.
The reason for this distinction is that creating an account requires the collection of personal data (such as an email address), and we are not equipped to handle the complex legal requirements (like verifiable parental consent) for collecting data from younger children. Therefore, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace this Privacy Policy at any time. We will indicate any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy. For any significant changes, we will provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of our Service following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
