Cortex Logo (Custom, Proprietary)

The main cortex.png icon represents the Cortex brand and was entirely designed in-house by Vertex Corporation. All variations in the splash/ folder are theme-adapted (black & white) versions created by the same team for different UI contexts. These assets are proprietary and no third-party licenses apply.

Model Logos (Third-Party, Nominative Fair Use)

All logos in the assets/models/ folder are original or derivative logos of the respective AI model providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Poe, etc.).

Usage Purpose:
These logos are displayed only to identify which AI model is being used in the application (e.g., “Powered by OpenAI”, “Powered by Claude”). Some logos have been slightly modified or redrawn when no official version was available or to visually distinguish closely related model versions. No modification implies ownership, and no misleading association with the original brand is created.

This usage follows standard industry practice (as seen in Poe, Nova, OpenRouter, etc.) and qualifies as nominative fair use under applicable trademark law.

Role Model Images (Custom, AI-Generated)

All images in the characters folder depict public figures (“role models”) and were entirely generated or modified using various AI tools. As these are AI-generated assets, no third-party copyright applies.

Model Attributions

This application incorporates AI models distributed under various licenses.

API-Based Models (via OpenRouter)

Certain features in this application, including but not limited to Character Models and other Online Models, are powered by third-party AI models accessed via the OpenRouter API.

Key Distinction: Unlike the offline models listed below, which are distributed with this application, these API-based models are services consumed remotely. Therefore, our legal relationship is governed by the OpenRouter Terms of Service, not the individual licenses of the underlying models (e.g., Claude, GPT-4o, Llama 3).

Attribution: We are committed to transparency. In line with industry best practices and our "Nominative Fair Use" policy detailed above, the specific model powering a feature is always clearly identified within the user interface.

User Responsibility: Use of these API-based features is subject to both our application's Terms of Service and the acceptable use policies of OpenRouter and its upstream providers.
